Once you have been accepted to ICC, attend New Student Orientation.

Congratulations on your decision to become a Pirate! We’re excited to meet you and share all ICC has to offer. Now that you’ve completed the Admissions Process, you’ll want to register for an orientation session.
 

Orientation Schedule

Summer 2026 New Student Orientation will be June 30 - 8am - 12pm, Student Union Movie Theatre

Start Your First Semester With Confidence

Prepare to transition into college successfully by attending a new student orientation session through Independence Community College. 

Attending an orientation session will help you build a solid foundation of student success and acclimate you to the ICC community.

  • Learn how to navigate campus and locate important resources and services, like the library, academic support, and food pantry.
  • Find answers to your questions about starting and succeeding in college, including academic advising, student healthcare, and military-related student support.

What to Expect:

  • Location: Independence Community College Main Campus
  • Cost: There is no cost to attend ICC New Student Orientation
  • Who should attend:
    • Any new student who will be attending classes in the Summer and/or Fall.
    • Any returning student who will be attending classes in the Summer and/or Fall and would like to brush up on resources and strategies to be successful.
